My family and friends were please with the exceptional service we received from a very professional and considerate staff. Everything was organized and well presented. I don’t think my mother could have asked for a better service.

Joseph Leon McCauley, 89, of Shepherdsville, KY, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at his home. He was a native of Raywick, KY, a retired drywaller for McCauley Drywall, an Army World War II veteran, and a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Sherry Slaughter, and Luanne McCauley; his first wife, Frances McCauley; his parents, Elbert and Rose McCauley; brothers, Leroy, Pat, Charles, and Raymond McCauley; sisters, Margaret Casto, Margie Followay, and Frieda Bowman. Joe is survived by his wife, Effie Keeling McCauley; three sons, Michael, Robert, and Joseph Todd McCauley; stepson, Freddie Barrick; one daughter, Payton McCauley; two stepdaughters, Paula Bentley and Levina Walker; Five brothers, Alton, Welton, Delmar, Jerry, and Gerald McCauley; One sister, Della Mae Kleyweg; along with five grandchildren & three great grandchildren. Funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. Friends may visit from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 10 a.m. Wednesday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home, Mt. Washington. Memorial gifts are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
