B.P. Smith Obituary

B.P. "Bob" Smith, 76, of Mt. Washington, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2019 at Baptist Health. He was born on July 14, 1943 in Garrard, Kentucky to the late Beve and Dora Henson Smith. He was a retired employee of International Harvester and the Jefferson County Board of Education, a member of Mt. Washington Senior Citizens and the First Baptist Church of Mt. Washington. He is survived by his wife, Joan Porter Smith; two daughters, Sonya Smith and Tammy Hale (Mark); three sisters, Lucy Carr, Daisy Smith, and Reva Marion; along with thirteen grandchildren & one great grandchild. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Friends may visit from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday. Memorial gifts in his memory are suggested to First Baptist Church of Mt. Washington.
