Leonard Carpenter Obituary

Leonard Edward Carpenter, 77, of Mt. Washington, formerly of Okolona, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at his home. He was a retired truck driver for Ferrell Gas Company, a member of The Eagles at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, and a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by is parents, Herman and Blanche Sester Carpenter; and a sister, Judy Robinson. Leonard is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Maryalice Carpenter; one daughter, Theresa Huff; two sons, Michael Edward and Steven "Kelly" Carpenter; two sisters, Margie Gratz and Julie Black; a brother, Herman Carpenter; along with nine grandchildren. Funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Monday, December 30, 2019 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. Friends may visit from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home. Memorial gifts are suggested to ASPCA, Hosparus of Louisville, or the Make a Wish Foundation.
