Steven Mitchell Hurst, 63, of Shepherdsville, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at his home. He was born on October 15, 1956 in Bradford, Arkansas. He was a United States Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jackie Hurst. Steven is survived by two children, Brent Chandler Hurst and Heather LeAnn Gaddy; his mother, Florence Risinger; his father, Carlee Edward Hurst; one sister, Amber Leigh Fike; five grandchildren, Elizabeth Cox, Connor Harrison, Clara Gaddy, Tytan and Eastyn Hurst; along with one great grandson, Ryder James Cox. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob, Arkansas, with burial in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, North Little, Arkansas. Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday. McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home, Mt. Washington, was entrusted with the local arrangements.
