Anthony Ray McMahan

Anthony Ray "Tony" McMahan, 59, of Mt. Washington, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Norton Audubon Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.  He was a shift manager for Fire King International and a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.  Tony enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, his Louisville Cardinals, his Thursday nights, but particularly his grand-sons.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Sue McMahan; along with a brother, Chuck McMahan.  He is survived by his loving wife, Shannon Medley McMahan; two sons, Alex (Emily) and Adam McMahan; his father, Jake McMahan;  three brothers, Ricky (Mary), Dennis (Vicky), and Dale (Margie) McMahan; one sister, Janice Philpott (Steve); two grand-sons, Rhett and Oliver McMahan; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens.  Friends may visit 12-8 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests all memorial contributions be made to the Norton Cancer Institute.
