Arlene (Carey) Ryan

Arlene Ryan, 74, of Mt. Washington, returned to the Lord on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at University of Louisville Hospital.  She was the former Arlene Carey, a retired legal secretary, and a member of Bullitt Lick Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Arvin and Lucille Carey; and siblings, Sidney, David, and Wydoma Carey.  She is survived by her husband, Willard Ryan; one daughter, Betsy Nutt (Larry); a stepson, Jason Ryan; one sister, Cynthia Cunningham (C.A.); a sister-in-law, Fonda Carey; one brother, Neal Carey; along with six grandchildren, Kahla, Hank, Heidi, Corley, Lucy and Tyler.  Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with cremation to follow.  Friends may visit from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Friday.  Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers are suggested to the Kentucky Humane Society.
