Artie Laverne (Pruitt) Eads

Artie Laverne Eads, 83, of Cox's Creek, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023 at Green Meadows Health Care Center.  She was the former Laverne Pruitt, a homemaker, and a Jehovah's Witness by faith.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband earlier this year, Fielding "Cotton" Eads; and her parents, Roy and Connie Catherine Pruitt.  She is survived by three children, Tammy Cristobal (Dale), Dana Eads (Buddy), and Jason Eads (Janie); five brothers, Leroy, Johnny, Shelby, George, and Otis Pruitt; three sisters, Pauline Holsman, Shirley Bland and Maggie Gaddie; along with six grandchildren, David Taylor, Roth Taylor, Devin Cristobal, Destin Cristobal, Justin Eads and Michael Eads; and six great grandchildren, Gavin Taylor, Hunter Taylor, Logan Taylor, Sawyer Taylor, Christian Spalding, and Wyatt Taylor.  In keeping with her wishes, cremation was chosen.  A Celebration of her life will be 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home.  Friends may visit from 10 a.m. until time of services.
