Barbara Cross Obituary

Barbara Ann Smith Cross, 73, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2020 at Norton Audubon Hospital.  She was the former Barbara Cross,  retired employee of the Bullitt County Library, and a Catholic.  Barbara was a 1965 graduate of Southern High School and also a graduate of Jefferson Community College.  She was a member of the American Karate Association and held a 1st degree Black Belt.  She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Helen Hager Smith; and a brother, Jack Raymond Smith.  Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Jerrol Richard "J.R." Cross; three children, Tammy Lyne Brown (Michael), Billy Richard Cross (Dawn), and Brandi Dyan Cross (Herb); four siblings, William Smith, Larry J. Smith, Joyce Young, and Patty Smith Johnston; nine grandchildren, Lacey Darnell, Chelsey Gipson, Hanna Feireisel, Shelby Coulter, Taylor Fanelli, Branden Feireisel, Grace Cross, Darin Snawder, and Matthew Snawder; and six great grandchildren, Brayden Shirley, Cole Coulter, Jordan Darnell, Kae Bass, Kennedy Gipson, and Harrison Fanelli.  Funeral services will be 4:30 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2020 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home.  Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday.  A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Billy Cross Family Cemetery, Pioneer, Tennessee.
