Barbara Jean Literal

Barbara Jean Literal, 75, of Garfield, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.  Barbara was born on October 10, 1949 in Louisville, KY, to the late Robert and Mary Embry Literal.  She enjoyed crafts, painting, baking, and her specialty was making homemade candy.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Roger Literal.  She is survived by seven children, Charles King Jr. (Lisa), Robert King (Kelly), Jeffery Barrett (Angie), Maryanna Barrett, Cherish Prewitt (Kenneth), Kay Cooper (Robbie), and Brittney Lake; one brother, Raymond Literal; along with 33 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.  Visitation for Barbara will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025 from 5 until 8 p.m. at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with cremation to follow.
