Barbara Kay Tubb, 84, of Boynton Beach, FL, formerly of Ohio County and Louisville, KY, passed away October 5, 2023 at Del Ray Medical Center. She was a homemaker, but enjoyed teaching pre-school, seamstress work, and caring for the elderly, where she made many friends. Barbara was also known as “Tootles” the clown, where she brightened many faces at birthday parties, store openings, and family holidays. Her, along with her loving husband of 66 years, Kermit, were faithful members of Gateway Community Church, Boynton Beach, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Loretta Boyd Fulkerson; her grandson, Joshua Bartley; along with a great-grandson, Austin Davis. Along with her loving husband, Barbara is survived by two daughters, Melissa Bartley (John), Robin Ford (Tony); one sister, Scarlett Johnson (Garth); one aunt, AnnaLee Thomas (Willard); a nephew, Todd Johnson (Susan); four grandchildren, John Henry Bartley, III (Jackie), and Jason, Amy (Mark), and Sean (Hanna) Bullock; six great-grandchildren, Jada (Austin), Madison (Dylan), Trey, Devin, Landon (Alexis), and Aidan; two great-great-grandchildren, Zayn and Coralei; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and her church family. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mount Washington Cemetery. Friends may visit 4-8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
