Barry Andrew Mattingly, 75, of Mt. Washington, KY, returned to the Lord on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Baptist Health. He was a native of Nelson County, KY, a retired employee of Reynolds Metal Company, and a member and former deacon, and choir member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Washington. Barry was a U. S. Navy Vietnam veteran, and was selected to participate earlier this year in the Honor Flight. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, working in the yard, roller skating, and spending time with his family, especially his grandbabies. He also enjoyed football and coached little league for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Alberta Mattingly; and a sister, Lola Bowman. Barry is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Kaye Turner Mattingly; two children, Lea Burroughs (Bryan) and Peter Mattingly; his twin brother, Larry Mattingly; sister, Elaine Gordon (Tom); four grandchildren, Cassidy Hasch (Justin), Ashton Burroughs, Jonah Clements-Mattingly, and Victoria Burroughs; along with a great granddaughter, Ella Hasch; his beloved dog, Lady; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and many friends. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, November 11, 2023 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home. Friends may visit from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday. Memorial gifts are suggested to the Parkinson's Foundation.
