Barry Whitaker Obituary

Barry C. Whitaker, 75, of Mt. Washington, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020 at Norton Audubon Hospital.

Barry was a retired owner/operator for Mercer Transportation Co.

He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Whitaker; his father, Clarence Whitaker; two sisters, Judith Scott and Donna Rodgers; and an uncle, Norris Whitaker.

Barry is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Linda Whitaker; his mother, Mildred Whitaker; one brother, Kevin Whitaker (Barbara); two sisters, Norma Napier and Renee’ Garber (Dan); aunt, Betty Whitaker; and two sisters-in-law, Debra Judson (Bill) and Karen Johnson (Don); along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Cremation was chosen. Memorial gifts in memory of Barry are suggested to be made to Hosparus of Louisville or the Kentucky Humane Society.
