Bertha Ann Thompson

Bertha Ann Thompson, 79, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Louisville East Post Acute.  Bertha attended New Covenant Church.  She loved to pick up her friends for shopping at the Dollar Tree and peddler's malls.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Artie Thompson Sr.; two brothers, Leo Thompson and Elmo Thompson; and one sister, Essie Overstreet.   Bertha is survived by five children, Joseph T. Thompson, Patricia Thomas, Sonny Collett, Joyce Collett, and Philllip Collett; one brother, Roy Thompson (Mary Lou); one sister, Norma Bertrand (David); along with 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.   Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 15, 2023 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mt. Washington Cemetery.  Friends may visit from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 9 am. Saturday.
