Betty Neathery Sanders, 85, of Cox’s Creek, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Flaget Memorial Hospital. Betty was born on November 3, 1939 in Clinton County, KY to the late James and Nautalie Gist Neathery. She was a retired event coordinator for the Kentucky State Fair Board and a member of River View Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. Betty had a deep faith and love of the Lord. She was also a co-founder of the Mothers Against Drunk Drivers Bullitt County Chapter. She enjoyed cooking, scrapbooking, flowers, and most importantly, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Herman, Dale, and Kevin Neathery. Betty is survived by her husband of 63 years, David Sanders; one son, Blair Sanders (Beth); one daughter, Beth Swadley (Mark); six grandchildren, Christopher Sanders, Brian Sanders (Kaylyn), Christina Grace, Olivia Lanier (Chris), Kristen Wilhite (Jeff), and Haley Wilhite; along with five great grandchildren, Millie, Lincoln, Leo, Parker, and Corbin. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2025 at River View Baptist Church, 1850 Old Louisville Road, Cox’s Creek, KY. Friends may visit from 9 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to River View Baptist Church.
