Betty Jane (Shake) Baird

Betty J. Baird, 81, of Mt. Washington, returned to the Lord on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at her home.  She was the former Betty Shake, a member of the Mt. Washington Red Hats Society, and Kings Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Baird; her son, Jeff Caudill; a sister, Annette Dakin; and her parents, William and Elizabeth Shake.  Betty is survived by her daughter, Teresa Flynn (Robert); her brother, Leslie Shake (Bev); two granddaughters, Emily  Elmore (Brian) and Erin Johnson (Adam); along with four beloved great grandchildren, Elliott, Jessa, Brianna, and Erin.  Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mt. Washington Cemetery.  Friends may visit from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday.  Memorial gifts are suggested to the Mt. Washington Senior Citizens.
