Betty Jean (Oliver) Humphrey

Betty Jean Humphrey, 94, of Shepherdsville, returned to the Lord on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at her home.  She was born on May 15, 1929 in Sullivan, KY, to the late Hewett and Mary E. Oliver.  She was a retired sales associate for Sears, and a faithful member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Robert Humphrey; a grandson, Donald Burnett; and  three siblings, Anna Leggitt, Leigh Creek, and Wendell Oliver.  Betty is survived by three children, Sandra Burnett, Terri McNichols, and Jeff Humphrey; grandchildren, Marie Campbell, Merrill Robert Burnett, Kiera McNichols, and Shannon McNichols; and four great grandchildren, Elaina Campbell, Evelyn River Arnett, Denis Burnett, and Ariana Campbell.  Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. Monday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Brookland Cemetery.  Friends may visit Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. and after 11 a.m. Monday.  Memorial gifts are suggested to Highview Ministries Adult Day Care Center (Attention: Stephanie Hodge).
