Betty Ann (Mikesell) Sanders

Betty Ann Sanders, 78, of Mt. Washington, returned to the Lord on Sunday, May 23, 2021.  She was a retired employee of Hillcreek Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wendell Sanders; her parents, Joseph Mikesell and Ruby Goode; and a sister, Velva Brinley.  Betty is survived by four children, Teresa Zizak (Julian), Wade Sanders (Melissa), Wendell Sanders Jr., and Kathy Mroz (Stan); one sister, Barbara Underwood (Tommy); along with eight grandchildren, Tiffany Dilley, Joanna Reneau, Alicia Hall, Bradley Sanders, Joshua Sanders, Victoria Alvarez, Olivia Soto, and Joseph Soto; and twelve great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mt. Washington Cemetery.  Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday.   Memorial gifts are suggested to Operation Blessing, 977 Centerville Turnpike, Virginia Beach, VA 23463
