Beulah Ruby (Curtsinger) Brown

Beulah Ruby Brown, 96, of Mt. Washington, returned to the Lord on Friday, January 3, 2025 at Baptist Health.  Beulah was born in Nelson County, KY on January 11, 1928 to the late Billie And Maud Ruby Curtsinger.  She worked as a medical secretary throughout the years, raised her family, and was a longtime member at Kings Baptist Church.  She served as a Sunday School teacher, sang in the choir and planned many senior adult trips.  Beulah was also a member of O.E. S. Chapter #552, where she served as the Worthy Matron and secretary for many years.   She enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, baking, writing poetry, and was an avid NASCAR fan.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Brown, Jr.; a son, Thomas Ray Brown (Louise);  sons-in-law, Randy Seigle, Bobby Conway, Paul Leslie, and Billy Ray Carney; and brother, Kenneth Curtsinger (Lorraine); brother-in-law, Robert L. Jump; along with a grandson and great granddaughter.  Beulah is survived by five daughters, Frankie Seigle, Norma Leslie, Donna Conway (James Seigle), Barbara Jones (Ernie), and Judy Brown; one son, William “Billy” Brown (Barbara); a sister, Wanda Jump; along with 16 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and 26 great-great grandchildren;  a host of nieces, nephews, and very close friends.  Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens.  Friends may visit from 12 p.m. until time of services on Wednesday.  Memorial gifts are suggested to Smile Train or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
