Bill "Squirrel" Hibbs

Bill "Squirrel" Hibbs, 77, of Mt. Washington, KY, returned to the Lord on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Baptist Health.  He was a native of Bullitt County, KY, a retired employee of General Electric where he worked for 30 years, and a member of River View Baptist Church.  He enjoyed watching NASCAR, drag racing, driving dump trucks, and was a member of Whiskey City Car Club.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Dolly Hibbs; a half brother, Danny Richards; and a half sister, Janie Richards Greathouse.  Bill is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gayle Smith Hibbs; one brother, Ronnie Hibbs (Libby); along with a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.  Funeral services will be 6 p.m. Monday, November 13, 2023 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home.  Friends may visit from 2 until time of service on Monday.  Memorial gifts are suggested to River View Baptist Church Building Fund.
