Billy Ray Humphrey, Sr.

Billy Ray Humphrey, Sr., 66, of Shepherdsville, passed away Friday, October 13, 2023.  He was a retired electrician, a member of IBEW Local 369, the Shepherdsville Church of God of Prophecy, loved working with electricity and working in his garage.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Flossie Humphrey; a brother, David Humphrey; a sister, Carolyn Rhoades; along with two grandchildren, Liza and Layton Humphrey.  He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Lawson Humphrey; three sons, Billy Jr., Joshua (Megan), and Tyler (Chasity) Humphrey; his father, Dwight Humphrey; one brother, Clayton Humphrey (Kathy); three sisters, Carrie Ann Tindle (Jimmy), Shirley Rupard (Larry), and Belita Walls (Jerome); along with nine grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Bullitt Lick Baptist Church Cemetery.  Friends may visit 5-8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Huntington's Disease Society.
