Bonnie Colleen (Sapp) Hunt

Bonnie Colleen Hunt, 75, of Mt. Washington, KY, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at her home.  Bonnie was born on November 12, 1947 in Louisville, KY to the late Lawrence and Juanita Snellen Sapp.  She was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother.  She enjoyed collecting antiques, spending time with family, and doting on her grandchildren.  With her gift of gab, she made good friends while walking in her neighborhood and loved being helpful to them however she could.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Richard Lee Hunt;  a brother, Larry Sapp, Jr.; and a sister, Judy Sapp.  Bonnie is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Estil Lee Hunt; two daughters, Lisa Huff and Darlene Hunt (Mark Kretzmann);  seven siblings, Ellen Nareen Hamm, Linda Corum (Skip), Mike Sapp (Nita), Shelia Johnson (Gary), Gale Minks (Johnny), Susie Davis, and Tony Sapp (Hettie); along with four grandchildren, Mason Huff, Lexie Huff, Bonnie Sue Kretzmann, Neville Lee Kretzmann and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, October 28, 2023 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home, 111 N. Bardstown Road, Mt. Washington.  Friends may visit from 2 p.m. until time of service.  Memorial gifts are suggested to donor’s charity of choice.
