Bonnie Jean Smith

Bonnie Jean Smith, 57, of Magnolia, formerly of Mt. Washington, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Baptist Health in Elizabethtown.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Coy; her parents, James and Lillian Smith; and siblings, James Jr., Lorenza Earl, and Kathy Smith.  Bonnie is survived by one son, Allen Coy (Melissa); her loving companion, Steve Harris; siblings, William, Richard, Ronnie, Janice, Janet, Robert Smith, Linda Duke, Cynthia Hileman, Donna Johnson, and Nancy Carrico; along with six grandchildren, Gage, Karsyn, Zachary, Cody, Emma, and Karly.  Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Wednesday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Mt. Eden Cemetery.  Friends may visit from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday.
