Brandon Michael Avis, 29, of Louisville, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2020. Brandon graduated from Moore Traditional High School with honors in 2009. He was dedicated at the Maple Grove Baptist Church. He enjoyed video games and was a member of Cloud 9. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Mike Sink; and an aunt, April Abell.
Brandon is survived by his mother, Rena Kern (Mark); his father, Donald Kennison, Jr.; one sister, Taylor Kern; Grandparents, Brenda Sink, Donald and Janice Kennison, Sr., Louis and Pat Kern; uncles, Tony Abell, Todd Sink (Christy), Jeremy Kennison (Tiffany); aunt, Barbara Kern (Justin Seng); cousins, Marc, Kristen, Alexis, Courtney, Jared, Jeremy Jr., Alyssa, and Cheyann; his beloved dog, Sarsaparilla “Sass”; along with a host of extended family and friends, including his best friend and roommate, Jeff Fontana.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home, Mt. Washington. Friends may visit from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday. Memorial gifts are suggested to the American Heart Association or K.O.D.A.
