Brenda J. Mudd, 70, of Mt. Washington, returned to the Lord on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at her home. She was the former Brenda Clarkston, a retired employee of JPMorgan Chase Bank, and a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Brenda is survived by her husband, Jerry Mudd; three sons, Bryan (Christy), Gary, and Stephen (Kristie) Mudd; one sister, Betty Sue Marksbury; along with four beloved grandchildren, Ayden, Adyson, Brandon, and Ethan Mudd. Brenda and Jerry’s journey full of love and life spanned 50 years. Her love and care for her family was the entirety of her world. As a loving wife, mother, and mamaw, she gave so much and asked so little in return. She provided unconditional love, protection, guidance, and forgiveness for her family. The fondest memories were made at her kitchen table topped full of her homemade meals and surrounded by her children and grandchildren. As a skilled seamstress, she created a lifetime of quilts, blankets, and knitted afghans that will be cherished forever. Her memory will always endure as the very best of her children is a piece of her love.
Funeral mass will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday, December 17, 2020 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Memorial gifts are suggested to the Susan G. Komen Foundation
