Carol Joyce (Smith) Stallings

Carol Joyce Stallings, 77, of Mt. Washington, returned to the Lord on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Baptist Health.  She was the former Carol Smith, a native of Bullitt County,  a retired administrative assistant for Clorox, and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents, James T. "Tom" and Virginia Watson Smith; a brother, Clifford Smith; and a sister, Sandi Kelty.  Carol is survived by her daughter, Laquita Collins (Hugh "Duey"); one brother, Cecil Smith; five sisters, Valera Krebs, Linda Moore, Brenda Henry, Freda Reeves, and Debbie Hinton; three grandchildren, Nicole Briggs (Louis), Isiah Arvin, and Zachary Arvin (Autumn); along with two great grandsons, Landon Stallings and Easton Arvin; and a great granddaughter on the way.  Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2022 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Shepherdsville, KY with burial to follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.  Friends may visit from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. Monday at the church.  Memorial gifts are suggested to the National Kidney Foundation.
