Carolyn Louise (Amshoff) Frey

Carolyn Amshoff Frey, 90, of Mt. Washington, returned to the Lord on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Baptist Health.  She was a devoted homemaker, a 1951 graduate of Mercy Academy, and a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Frey; a daughter, Lisa Buschkoetter;  and a grandson, Andrew  Frey.  Carolyn is survived by her son, Paul Andrew Frey (Melissa); three brothers, John (Linda Gray), Gilbert (Kathy), and Louis (Laura) Amshoff; two sisters, Samantha Fuller (Walt), and Linda Metts (Ronnie); six grandchildren, Erin (Garrett) Frey-Puccetti, Louisa Lauren Frey, Adam Frey, Ashley Journey, Leigha Buschkoetter, and Jessica Hart; along with a host of great grandchildren.  Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday, November 30, 2023 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with entombment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.  Friends may visit from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home.  Memorial gifts are suggested to her church or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (www.cff.org).
