Charles Robert “Chuck” Connelly, 90, of Shepherdsville, KY returned to the Lord on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at Baptist Health Louisville. Chuck was born on July 6, 1934 in Trenton, New Jersey to the late James P. and Alice Connelly. He was a retired aerospace machinist for Sunstrand, an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, of which during that time, he played baseball for the Army. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, loved western movies, and was a member of the NRA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorotha Connelly; and a brother James Connelly. He is survived by three daughters, Shirley Haas (Verle), Cindy Vires (Danny), and Kelly Carter (Jack); one son, James Wise (Elizabeth); sister-in-law, Jo Connelly; along with 13 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2025 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home. Friends may visit from noon until time of service on Saturday. Memorial gifts are suggested to the Home of the Innocents.
