Charles "Woody" Woodson Holt

Charles Woodson “Woody” Holt, 89, of Mt. Washington, entered into rest on Saturday, October 5, 2024.  He was born on July 14, 1935 in Washington County, KY to the late Charles A. and Georgia Evelyn Hood Holt.  Woody retired from General Electric after over 40 years of service.  He was a dual member of both Buechel Masonic Lodge and Bloomfield Masonic Lodge, and a member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Washington.  He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and traveling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Coreen Holt; and his  brother, Glen Holt, and two infant twins.  Woody is survived by a daughter, Kelly Holt; one son, Alan Holt (Jackie); the children’s mother, Rachel Ann Hardin; three grandchildren, David Coyle, Laura Holt-Tipton, and Robert Holt; along with five great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be 2 p.m.  Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Highview Cemetery, Chaplin, KY.  Friends may visit from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 11 a.m. Wednesday.  Memorial gifts in his memory are suggested to the Bloomfield Masonic Lodge #57.
