Christian M. Toro, 65, of Huntington Beach, California, formerly of Louisville, KY, returned to the Lord on January 2, 2025. He was born in Viña del Mar, Chile on October 9, 1959 to Juan and Lutgarda Toro. He was married to Amy Basham Toro for 24 years. Chris had a career in aviation for 45 years, spanning employment with Flying Tigers, UPS Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Allegiant Air, and ST Engineering. He was raised Catholic and was a follower of Jesus Christ. He had a passion for driving Porsche cars, laughing, and making everyone around him feel special.
Christian was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Lutgarda Toro.
He is survived by his wife, Amy Basham Toro; son, Seth Toro; brother, Juan E. Toro; sisters, Maria Sahlin-Boyd, Sandra Trujillo, and Evelyn Toro; along with many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 12 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2025 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home, Mt. Washington, KY, with a celebration of life luncheon to follow services. Friends may visit from 10 a.m. until time of service.
