David Gilbert Smothers

David Gilbert Smothers, 66, of Campbellsville, KY, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Taylor Regional Hospital.  David was a retired employee of Cissell Manufacturing.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Joe Smothers and Dorothy Callahan; a stepson, Jerry Raisor; and his siblings, JoAnn Brown, Jerry and Phillip Smothers.  He is survived by his wife, Deborah Smothers; two daughters, Stacy Vinson (Jason) and Laura Isabel; sons, Steve Junker, Brandon (Hilary) and Jay Lakes; six grandchildren, Nikole and Shelbi Isabel, David and Ashley Vinson, Hayley and Trey Lakes; along with two great grandchildren, Wilder and Lydia Allgeier.  Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens.  Visitation will be 10 a.m. until time of service on Thursday.
