Deirdre R. Morris, 30 passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023 after a long battle with breast cancer. Deirdre was a devoted mother, wife, daughter, grand-daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Her proudest achievements in life were raising her son, being a wife, and loving her family. Deirdre always brightened up a room with her fun loving personality and facial expressions. In her personal life, her greatest treasures were swimming, hunting with her dad, spending time at the beach with family, playing in the snow with her son, and riding in the 59 Ford pick-up truck with her loving husband. She also enjoyed antique shopping, playing board games with family, coloring, going to pumpkin patches, and decorating for Christmas. Deirdre was a member of the Mount Washington Church of God, and a member of Twisted Pink Breast Cancer organization. She is survived by her grandmother, Charlotte Scrogham; Papaw and Nanny, Bruce and Esther Marcum; husband, Austin Morris; son Lance; her parents Johnny and Sheila Bryant; her father and mother in law Jason and Gayle Morris; as well as her mother in law Heather Raisor; sister Alisha Bodner, (Rob); her nephews Lochlan and Declan; several aunts, uncles, cousins; along with her beloved dog Grace. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, James E. Scrogham senior; her aunt Roxann Lawhorn; and her uncle Michael Bryant. Visitation will be held on Monday July 10, 2023 from 1-8pm at McFarland-Troutman-Profitt Funeral Home, 111 North Bardstown Road, Mount Washington, Ky 40047. Her funeral service will be held at 11am on Tuesday at McFarland Funeral Home with interment to follow in Mount Washington Memorial Cemetery. There will be a celebration of life event at the Mount Washington Church of God. Deirdre requests you bring a smile to her celebration! Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Twisted Pink Breast Cancer Organization for cancer research.
