Denise (DeBoe) Hancock

Denise Hancock, 79, of Mt. Washington, passed away June 28, 2025 at Norton Audubon Hospital.  She attended Southeast Christian Church, was a member of the Mt. Washington AARP, and a former board member of the Mt. Washington Senior Center.  She was a proud Kentucky Colonel, but most of all, she was a proud Mom, Grandma, and GiGi.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Dalford and Naomi DeBoe.  She is survived by her son, Jeff Hancock (Abby); her daughter, Christie Hancock; a grand-daughter, Brittany Sellings (Ethon); along with two great-grandchildren, Sutton and Emmie.  Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mount Washington Cemetery.  Friends may visit from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Kentucky Humane Society.
