Dennis Ray Owen

Dennis Ray Owen, 86, of Taylorsville, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Sanders Ridge Health Care Center.  Dennis was born on March 26, 1939 in Mt. Washington, KY to the late Cecil Harold and Elizabeth “ Betty” Owen.  He was a retired employee of General Electric Co. and Air Force veteran.  He enjoyed working outside, his koi pond, and fishing.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Mourning Owen; a son, Jeffery Owen, a grandson, Gregory Shane Owen; and his brother, Marion “Billy” Owen.  Dennis is survived by one daughter, Susan Glasscock (Carl); a son, Gregory A. Owen (Brandy); one sister, Vicki Grigsby; seven grandchildren, Amanda, Kristy, Autumn, Alex, Sabrina, Lauren, and Lacey; along with 10 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens.  Friends may visit on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Wednesday.
