Don L. Britt, 87, of Shepherdsville, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at his home. He was a native of Glasgow, KY, and was the former owner of Britt’s Collision Center in Mt. Washington. Don was a perfectionist, and took pride in everything he did. He enjoyed antique cars, woodworking, and traveling, especially out west, and in later years, gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy F. and Lorena Britt; a son, Troy Britt; and grandchildren, Richard L. Britt, Adriane Britt, Joshua Moore, and Brandy Moore Rates. Don is survived by his wife of 43 years, the love of his life, Wanda L. Britt; children, Donald Britt (Sharon), Nancy Britt Spann, Richard (Suzanne), and Kevin Britt; stepchildren, Carla Peavler (Allen), Teresa Hartman (Kevin), and Kevin Atwood; two brothers, George “Jay” and Edwin “Eddie” Britt; grandchildren, Amber Britt, Krista Britt, Erica Calhoun Sparks, Joe, Mike, Nick, and Weston Britt, Casey and Travis Peavler, Kayla Snider; along with several great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mt. Washington Cemetery. Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday.
