Donald Baird

Donald Baird, 84, of Louisville, passed away April 29, 2026 at Norton's Hospital. He was a hard working man.  He retired from General Electric, but held many other roles throughout his life, in which he impacted countless others who leaned on his wisdom and care to guide their lives.  He loved being with his loved ones, telling stories, fishing, and golf.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Beulah Baird; along with 9 siblings.  He is survived by three daughters, Sheila Meadors, Aleisha Vinson (Joey), and Donna Lloyd; along with 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.  Donald will be remembered for his love for others, along with always being selfless, kind hearted, and genuine.  He was a man far too great to fully express in words.  He lived what he believed and now joins his heavenly family to rest in paradise.  Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens.  Friends may visit after 9 a.m. Wednesday.
