Edith (Eldridge) Higdon

Edith Higdon, 82, of Elizabethtown, passed away May 31, 2022 at Baptist Health Hardin.  She was a native of Perry County, Ky. and a retired employee of Kroger after 37 years of service.  She enjoyed traveling and going to the casinos.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Tarry and Bertha Eldridge; her husband, Bill Higdon; along with a brother, James Eldridge.  She is survived by her son, Randall Hodges; her daughter, Kimberly Hodges-Hatfield; a brother, Ronald Eldridge; a sister, Etta Thomas; a special friend, Ray; along with five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with entombment to follow in Highland Memory Gardens.  Friends may visit after 11 a.m. Thursday until time of service.
