Ella Louise (Pleasant) Daugherty

Ella Louise Daugherty, 74, of Mt. Washington, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Baptist Health.  She was the former Ella Pleasant, a native of Germany, a retired nurse, and a member of First Baptist Church in Taylorsville.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roy E. Daugherty; her parents, James D. and Ilse Pleasant Sr.; and a brother, James D. Pleasant Jr.  She is survived by three sons, Lawrence Eugene (Mindy), Roy Matthew (Jennifer), Douglas David (Deana) Daugherty; one sister, Judy Ann Miller; along with five grandchildren, Michael, Brian, Kristen, Lexa, and Ryan.  Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Kings Church Cemetery.  Friends may visit from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday.  Memorial gifts are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
