Elsie Kaha-DiGiorgi, 73, of Mt. Washington, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family. Elsie was born on January 29. 1952 in Louisville, KY to the late Edward and Juanita Kaha. Elsie loved to cook, bake, hula, and play the ukulele, but her greatest love was her ohana (family). She also attended Portland Salvation Army Corp. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Darrell Kaha Kilgore and Kimberly Rothman; siblings, Robert Sizemore, Leilani Nihei, and Moneta Farmer. Elsie is survived by her beloved husband, Mickey DiGiorgi; three daughters, Sheryl Cornett (Dennis), Melissa Cain, and Leia Whitt (Greg); son-in-law, Robert Rothman; stepdaughter, Becky Golden (Adam); 10 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, family in Hawaii and her Pearl family. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at the Legacy Funeral Center - Schoppenhorst Chapel, 1832 W. Market Street, Louisville, KY 40203 with burial to follow in the Mount Washington Cemetery. Friends may visit there on Tuesday from 1 to 8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Wednesday until time of service.
