Eva Katherine (Capito) Vires

Eva Katherine Capito Vires, 100, of Mt. Washington, returned to her heavenly home January 30, 2025 at Green Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  She was a member of the Okolona Church of God.  She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mae Ellen Capito; her loving husband, Clarence Orville Vires; three sons, Randy, Jim, and Jerry Vires; a son in law, Ray Asbury; a daughter in law, Suzie Vires; along with her siblings, William and George Capito and Emma Vires.  She is survived by one son, Danny Vires (Cindy); two daughters, Clara Louise "Sissy" Asbury and Jeannie Watts (Mike); along with 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens.  Friends may visit 3-8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
