Evelyn Dean Davis, 90, of Mt. Washington, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2026 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital.
Evelyn retired from General Electric Co. after 25 years of service. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed cooking, trying new restaurants, traveling, a glass of wine or brandy, and an occasional good cussword. She loved her family, and especially loved her title of GiGi.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Al Cleve Davis; her parents, Morris and Neppie Berry Baxter; and her siblings, Morris Baxter Jr., Jean Ricketts, and Bobby Baxter.
Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Stacey Wilson (Doug); her grandson and the light of her life, Sam Wilson; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and so many friends that were like family.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Sulphur Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until time of service on Friday. Memorial gifts are suggested to the Kentucky Humane Society.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Mike and Rick Breeden, Rebecca Johnson, Kelly Smith, Kim Thomas, Helen Southworth, Cary Ricketts, Robin Pullius, The Crossroads Elementary Family, and to Norton Brownsboro Hospital, Dr. Barbara Lewis, Nurse Francheska and Dorothy.
