Freddie Butts Obituary

Freddie Lucile Butts, age 84, passed away peacefully July 10, 2020 with her family close by her side. She was born on July 24, 1935 to Laura Lorene Ansley.
One of Freddie’s passions, and she was a very passionate lady, was cooking.  She loved watching all of her favorite chef shows and prepared some of the best meals I’ve ever eaten.  She believed that cooking way too much was part of loving your family. This always left her feeling happy. Crossword puzzles, art, coloring, making jewelry, and taking your money at card games were some of the other favorite things she liked to do.
Her favorite charities to give to were no kill animal shelters.  She loved animals and dogs were her favorite.  Just like family she also fed them too well.  You had to love her intentions.
In her younger years, Freddie went to school and became a Nurse. She took pride in helping people and loved to talk about her days as an LPN especially when she worked in ER.
For many years she was married to the love of her life, best friend, and 3rd  husband (late husband) Robert Elton Butts.
She leaves behind a very dysfunctional family that she was very proud of.  She was a sister to 3 siblings, and a mother of 3 daughters, Karen Lee Novakowski, Rita Louise Shaw, and one daughter,Laura Lorene Crain, who preceded her in death.  With 3 marriages, 3 siblings, and 3 daughters it’s not a mystery why her lucky number was 3.
Freddie was world-renowned for her lack of patience, not holding back her opinion and a knack for telling it like it is.  She was genuine to a fault and had a colorful way to express it.  She was a one of a kind, interesting, and strong woman who was not afraid of anything or anyone.
She will be Greatly missed and Never forgotten.  Cremation was chosen.  Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers are suggested to the Kentucky Humane Society.
