George "Bobby" Robert Roby

George Robert “Bobby” Roby, 81, of Cox’s Creek, KY, returned to the Lord on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at his home.   Bobby was born on September 9, 1943 in Louisville to the late George and Hedy Roby.  He had a 60 year career in trucking, as well as being a lifelong farmer.  He was a member and former deacon at Riverview Baptist Church.   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Tony Roby and a stillborn daughter.  Bobby is survived by his wife of 61 years, Donna Ashbaugh Roby; one son, Timmy Roby (Paula); three grandchildren, Quinton Roby (Olivia), Taryn Miracle (Corey), and Hunter Roby (Audrey Milburn); along with three great grandchildren, Cooper, Lakyn, and Kayson.  Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mt. Washington Cemetery.  Friends may visit from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 10 a.m. Monday.  Memorial gifts are suggested to the Crusade for Children.
