With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Gilbert Lindsey lovingly known as Bobby, on April 13, 2025. Bobby was a kind, gentle and noble man whose presence brought peace and warmth to everyone around him. He was a devoted loving husband to his wife Veronica Lindsey, a loving father, a caring brother and a loyal friend. As a step-grandfather, he shared many joyful moments with his five granddaughters who deeply love him and enjoyed days of laughter and love. Bobby was deeply loved and respected by all who knew him. His beautiful vibrant blue eyes reflected his kind soul, and his heart was always opened to those around him. He was deeply cherished, respected and admired by those who knew him. Though his passing was unexpected and our hearts ache with his absence, we take comfort in knowing he is now at peace, embraced by the light and love of God he so deeply trusted. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, David Lindsey and Elijah Foley; stepdaughters, Janet and Jena; four sisters, Jan Koverman, Sally Burchett (David), Donna Mattingly, Tammy Lindsey; along with one granddaughter, Amyra Foley. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2025 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Friends may visit from 11 a.m. until time of services.
