Gladys Vera (Edwards) Magruder

Gladys Vera Magruder, 88, of Louisville, was met at the gates of heaven and escorted to her eternal home on May 30, 2025 by her loving husband of 67 years, Jim.  Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Helen Edwards; along with her sisters, Grace Muriel Munday and Ethel Salmon.  She is survived by her son, Michael Magruder (Becky); two daughters, Linda Roland (George Dygert) and Teresa Wilson; her twin brother, Len Edwards, Jr.; her sister, Pauline Lewis; along with four grandchildren, Rachael Eldridge, Allison Sweet, Dawana Vann, and Anthony James Wilson and four great-grandchildren, Lilly, Simon, Eli, and Mia.  Funeral services will be held 5 p.m. Wednesday at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home.  Friends may visit after 2 p.m. Wednesday.  Committal services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, Ky.
