Harold Wayne Lowery, 76, of Mt. Washington, passed away November 10, 2024 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital. He retired as teacher from Bullitt County Public Schools with 33 years of service. He was also a faithful member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, Sunday School teacher, and a member of the finance committee. Harold was also a real estate agent for 20 years, a member of Salt River Masonic Lodge F&AM #180, and the Mountain City Cruisers Car Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Lena Lowery; his loving wife of 47 years, Judy Lowery; his brother, Gerald Lowery; along with a brother-in-law, Wayne Givens. He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Tennill (Todd); one sister, Faye Givens; a sister-in-law, Wanda Lowery; 2 grand-sons, Cole and Trey Tennill; along with a special friend, Diane Simonds. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Mount Washington Cemetery. Friends may visit 3-8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday all at the church. The family is requesting that all memorial contributions be made to his church.
