J. D. Stephens

J.D. Stephens, 73, of Mount Washington, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at Norton Women and Children's Hospital.

He was a professional truck driver by trade with over 42 years behind the wheel,and retired from M & M Cartage after 18 years of service.  J.D.  attended Poplar Level Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Judy Fox Stephens; two sons, David (Lisa) and Tracy (Dana) Stephens; one brother, Rex Stephens (Vanessa); two sisters, Virginia Crowe (Norman) and Linda Vilbert; along with seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Mount Washington Cemetery.  Friends may visit from 5-8 p.m. Friday.
