James Curtis "Old Folks" Chesser, 90, of Bardstown, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Landmark of Bardstown. He was a native of Washington County, KY, a farmer, a retired truck driver for Tapco Construction, where he worked for 30 years, and a member of Bloomfield Church of God. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping and fishing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joi Mae Chesser; a son, Michael Chesser; his parents, Ike and Nora Pearson Chesser; and brothers, Norman, Freeman and Thomas. He is survived by his daughter, Betty Greenwell; two sons, David and Bruce Chesser; along with 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and a great-great grandson. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial in Highland Memory Gardens. Friends may visit from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday.
