James Wayne Conway

James Wayne Conway, 76, of Shepherdsville, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at his home.  Jim was a graduate of the University of Louisville School of Law, taught History at Mt. Washington High School, and was a partner in the law firm of Lemme and Conway.  Jim was a former member and Past Master of the Salt River Masonic Lodge #180, enjoyed his time working in genealogy, and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Gertrude Conway, Jr.; and his wife, Betty Conway.  Jim is survived by his loving wife, Pat Wolpert Conway; two children, James Christian Conway and Susan Michelle Conway; two sisters, Rita Coulter and Regina Dennis; along with one grandson, Spencer Conway.  Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, October 8, 2021 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Big Reedy Cemetery, Round Hill, KY.  Friends may visit from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday.  Memorial gifts in Jim's memory are suggested to Kosair Charities.
