James Floyd Crenshaw, 79, of Mt. Washington, returned to the Lord on Friday, January 24, 2025 at his home. He was born on May 21, 1945 in Mt. Washington to the late Clyde and Wanda Crenshaw. Jim was a retired employee of General Electric, an Army Vietnam veteran, and a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. He enjoyed playing poker, going to yard sales, but his greatest joy was his grandchildren. He loved going to their ballgames, musical events, gymnastics; no matter what the event, he would be there to support them. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Freddie Crenshaw; and two sisters, Betty Worman and Doris Tindle. Jim is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Crenshaw; one daughter, Denise Williams (Chris); a son, Chris Crenshaw (Leighana); two brothers, Charles and Leonard (Kathy) Crenshaw; two sisters, Nancy Humphrey and Mabel Warrenburg (Jim); five grandchildren, Ethan (Bailey), Molly, Hallie (Zach), Raegan (Cole), and Pierce; two great grandchildren, Elsie and Maven; along with a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Friday, January 31, 2025 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Friends may visit from 9 a.m. until time of service on Friday. Memorial gifts are suggested to the American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society, or Hosparus of Louisville.
