James Wayne Norton

James Wayne Norton, 48, of Taylorsville, passed away November 26, 2024 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital.  He was a employee of Glasscock Sawmill.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Norton; his step-father, Gary Purvis; along with his dear friend, Aunie Norton.  He is survived by his parents, Jay Norton (Linda) and Carolyn Purvis; two daughters, Cheyenne and Caroline Norton; one son, Michael Douglas; one step-daughter, Skyler Barnes; three brothers, Jeremy Norton (Jessica), Jay Norton, Jr., and Jason Price; three sisters, Lisa Apolonio (Armando), Jessica Norton Jewell, and Dewanda Price; one grand-daughter, Elaynah Barnett; his grand-furbabies, Olive, Winnie, and Roo; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.  Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with cremation to follow.  Friends may visit from 2 p.m. until time of service.  Please make all memorial contributions to the family in care of the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
